Downloading, Installing and Running VPN (Cisco AnyConnect) client to Remote Desktop Office PCs

1st Method

To get the VPN client (Cisco AnyConnect) go to this website https://v2.holyfamily.edu

Accept the warning pop up

Click the download button to get the Cisco AnyConnect application

Refer to the instructions button for any help downloading and installing the application

2nd Method

Find and run the program in your programs/applications list under… 

Cisco – Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

On the login window, enter the address v2.holyfamily.edu and hit connect

Enter the same Group and Holy Family Credentials

Once it connects, you can use Microsoft Remote Desktop app to connect to your Office PC

Your computer name will be provided to you by the IT and Helpdesk departments.

Once you are finished working from your remote session, simply close the window by pressing  the X button at the top of your remote desktop screen. Do NOT turn off the PC as you won’t be  able to get back on next time.

Next locate the Cisco AnyConnect client on your taskbar (bottom right of screen) You may need to hide the “show hidden icons” button

Right click on the Cisco AnyConnect icon and click disconnect.

Next time you need to connect, right click the icon, click connect and log back in.  

Please keep in mind there are a limited number of VPN licenses. Please log off when you are no  longer using it. Also note, the system will automatically disconnect your VPN after 30 minutes  of inactivity.
